    How we delivered

A customer was experiencing repeated difficulties when blowing fibre through a 14/10mm subduct supplied to them.

To identify the cause, we reviewed the specification sheets for both the subduct and the fibre. Our assessment highlighted that the ribbed design of the subduct could be creating unnecessary friction, potentially causing the installation issues.

Based on this insight, we recommended switching to a smooth subduct, which would allow the fibre to be blown more efficiently. Following this change, the customer adopted the new subduct and has been supplied with 154 km of fibre per month at a lower cost.

Over the past three years, the solution has performed reliably, eliminating the previous installation issues and providing consistent, cost-effective fibre delivery.
