How we delivered
Hyperoptic required a dependable supply chain capable of supporting large-scale FTTX network deployment while maintaining flexibility and increasing proficiency across multiple product categories.
To meet these requirements, we leveraged our global product reach to source specialist network components from a wide range of manufacturers. This ensured that the correct products were available to meet both technical specifications and operational requirements.
Where appropriate, materials were delivered directly to installation sites, reducing unnecessary handling and enabling deployment teams to access products quickly and efficiently. This direct-to site delivery model helped streamline logistics and improve installation productivity.
Given the importance of supply continuity, we implemented a procurement planning approach that monitored product demand, anticipated future requirements, and ensured sufficient supply capacity across key categories.
To further strengthen resilience and proficiency, we sourced products from multiple vendors, providing second and third sourcing options where required. This strategy reduced the risk associated with supplier constraints or global supply chain disruption. This also assisted Hyperoptic in their vendor management. We onboarded their existing supply chain for continued supply, while reducing their number of vendors and consolidating their supply chain by integrating services. Still ensuring access to numerous brands such as; CommScope, Prysmian, Fibrain, HFCL, Corning, Cubis, Emtelle and HellermannTyton.
Alongside procurement and logistics support, we also provided innovation and technical guidance to ensure Hyperoptic had access to emerging technologies and improved solutions aligned with their network strategy.
Through a combination of global sourcing capability, structured procurement planning, and supply chain resilience strategies, Hyperoptic were able to maintain consistent network deployment and minimise disruption across their build programme.
